Localization Project Coordinator

CRESTEC Europe B.V. is a branch office of the CRESTEC Group, a Japanese major market leader in multilingual documentation engineering with an extensive network of 32 offices around the world. For our multinational customers, we translate, localize and print the content for hardware and software user’s guides, software user interfaces, websites, online help files, and other technical documentation in a broad range of subject matters. Crestec Europe is known for the quality of its products and is a QMS (ISO 9001) and ISMS (ISO 27001) certified company with a team of about 35 members and we work according to the Plan-Do-Check-Act model.

For our office in Amsterdam Sloterdijk, we are looking for an experienced colleague that can take over the position of:

Localization Project Coordinator  

(Full time 40 hours/week)


JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Manage projects in multiple languages (from scheduling to post-delivery follow up) in cooperation with other company’s departments;
  • Supervise all project teams involved, both internally and externally, such as translators, language reviewers, DTP specialists, etc.;
  • Communicate efficiently and professionally with international clients and (translation) suppliers;
  • Take care of data preparation using our mostly used translation software application (Trados);
  • Monitor the project development and take care of troubleshooting on possible project issues.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor or Master level of education in translation, languages, international studies or related fields;
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken) and at least one other language;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and email applications;
  • Proven experience with translation support tools (e.g. SDL Trados, MemoQ) is a must;
  • Proven experience in a similar position as a translation project coordinator/manager is a must;
  • Valid working permit for the Netherlands.

  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • No 9 to 5 mentality.
